GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Deadline
Deadline for abstract submission: August 31th, 2014.
2. Abstract guidelines
a) Abstracts should include: background, objectives, methodology, results, conclusion, ethics
committee
keywords and financial support.
b) Files must be in .doc format. Please name your .doc file with the full name of the
Participant;
c) Abstracts should be written in ENGLISH;
d) The title of the abstract should be written in capital letters, be centered and not exceed 3 lines;
e) Centered and below the title write the names of the authors. Please underline the name of the presenting author. Affiliations should include (1) Laboratory name, Department and Institution where the work has been performed, city and country. Use superscript numbers to identify the author's institution.
f) Abstracts are limited to 250 words, excluding title, authors and affiliations;
g) Place keywords (minimum 3 and maximum 5) and financial support at the end of your text.
3)Formatting:
Alignment of title, authors and affiliations: Centered;
Text alignment: Justified;
Font: Arial. Size: 12.
Paper size: A4. Orientation: Portrait.
Single paragraph.
Single spaced.
Top, Bottom and Right margins: 2.5 cm. Left margin: 3.0 cm.
4)Abstracts will be evaluated by a committee. The outcome of the review will also be sent by e-mail to participants. All approved abstracts will be presented in poster format.
5)Poster guidelines
a) The title of the poster should be the same of that provided in the accepted abstract or
project summary;
b) The poster should be written in ENGLISH.
c) Maximum poster size: 0.90 m width x 1.50 m height.
d) The posters should be exhibited on dates and times to be determined by the organizing committee and should be identified by the poster number (sent by the committee after abstract approval) and name of the presenting author;
f) Please remove your poster after your session is finished.
